On behalf of the staff, children and governors, I would like to welcome you to our website. I am delighted to be Headteacher and feel very privileged to be able to share with you an overview of the wonderful learning experiences we offer throughout our school and nursery.
Kaye’s is a friendly village school in Clayton West which is situated on the West/South Yorkshire border with the towns of Huddersfield, Barnsley and the city of Wakefield within easy access. A former mining village with textile mills and a railway, Clayton West is steeped in history.
At Kaye’s, our curriculum is planned around our children’s interests. As an enthusiastic and dedicated staff team, we are immensely proud that our children love coming to school, engage in their learning, behave well, and demonstrate high levels of respect and tolerance of others.
We encourage all children to be aspirational. Working in partnership with parents and governors, we strive to ensure that children are provided with every opportunity to be the very best they can be – happy, confident learners who leave Kaye’s equipped with the tools needed to be successful individuals.
