About us.

Welcome to Year 3!

The staff in Year 3 possess a wide range of skills to nurture and support children as they transition in to Key Stage 2. We aim to provide a creative and stimulating curriculum to spark the children’s imaginations and a love of learning. We try to plan learning experiences which will engage the children and support their developing independence as learners.

About our class.

We are a team in Year 3. We encourage each other to be the best that we can be. We celebrate our successes and learn from our mistakes. We are polite and friendly and follow the golden rules. We always try our best – especially when we find something tricky.

The Year 3 curriculum builds on and extends what the children have learnt in Key Stage 2. While the learning environment is more formal in Year 3, we continue to explore our topics creatively in a cross-curricular manner. Our learning in class will also be extended through theme days and school trips.

The topics include:

  • That’s Magic
  • Great Britons
  • Dem Bones
  • Violent Volcanoes
  • Chocolate
  • The Stone Age.
