Kaye's Academy

The French Curriculum that we follow at Kaye’s has been designed in accordance with the National Curriculum. Children in Key Stage Two have a dedicated half an hour lesson once a week. Pupils in the Early Years and Key Stage One also engage in more informal language learning through songs and simple greetings. We at Kaye’s believe that the learning of a modern foreign language provides a cultural experience for our pupils and allows them to deepen their understanding of the world. Learning another language also develops an understanding and respect for diversity, removing barriers between cultures. Our French curriculum engages and inspires pupils to develop a love for languages. Videos, songs and stories all enrich our pupils’ experiences and gives them a cultural insight into other people’s lives.
